Charities and Outreach

Each year we choose a charity to support and raise funds through a bookstall at the back of church and a series of social/fundraising events. Look out on our ‘Latest News’ page or Facebook page for upcoming events.

Our church charities for 2025 are St. John’s Hospice and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

We have a box in church to readily collect any non-perishable food for Doncaster Foodbank. Follow the link to find out what food is needed right now. We have several volunteers at the Trussell Trust food bank at St James church, Hexthorpe

Several of our members are involved in Scouting in Doncaster.

We seek to serve our local community in different ways. With Flintwood Methodist Church, we have an Open the Book team, who go into two local primary schools to share Bible stories through drama. We also run Messy Church for families, and support local litter picks.
